The Ministry of Transport announced that it had accepted the apology of Engineer Mostafa Abu al-Makarem, for continuing his position as head of the Egyptian National Railways Authority due to his health conditions, and assigning Engineer Mohamed Amer, to carry out the duties of the chairman of the authority’s board, noting that adjustments were made in a number of the authority’s leaders due to the nature of the next stage that requires Paying the implementation rates of all projects to complete the comprehensive development process that the system is witnessing railway Currently.
The Ministry of Transport announced, in a statement issued by it today, that Lieutenant General, Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir – Minister of Transport, accepted the apology submitted by Engineer Mustafa Abdel Latif Abu Al-Makarem – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Railways Authority for continuing his position as head of the authority, due to his health conditions and his assignment. To work as an advisor to the Minister of Transport at the National Railways of Egypt, and the Minister of Transport issued a decision assigning Engineer Mohamed Amer Abdel Aziz Amer – Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Railways for the maintenance sector of mobile units and technical support, to carry out the duties of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority.
As well as the assignment of Major General Engineer Mohamed Ali Mohamed Ghazal, seconded from the Ministry of Defense, to work as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian National Railways Authority for the Safety and Quality Sector, to work as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority for the sector of maintenance of mobile units and technical support, in addition to the assignment of Engineer Khaled Farouk Mohamed Nour El-Din – Sector consultant at the Egyptian National Railways, to serve as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Safety and Quality Sector.
The decisions of the Minister of Transport today also included the assignment of Engineer Mohamed Hamed Mohamed Rizk – Head of the Central Administration for West Delta Affairs in the Infrastructure Sector of the National Railways Authority of Egypt, to work as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority for the long and short distance sectors, and the assignment of Engineer Magdy Abdel Monsef Mustafa Ibrahim – Head of the Administration Central for Engineering Affairs and Feasibility Studies in the Engineering Projects and Development Sector at the Egyptian National Railways, to serve as Vice Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors for the Engineering Projects and Development Sector.
The ministry’s statement indicated that the goal of these decisions is not just to make adjustments in the authority’s leadership, but rather came due to the nature of the next stage, which requires paying the rates of implementation of all projects to complete the comprehensive development process that the railway system is currently witnessing.
