The sources expected that the costs of recruiting Indonesian domestic workers would range between 15-18 thousand riyals, while wages would range between 3-4 thousand riyals per month, according to the newspaper “Al-Youm”.

She pointed out that category “C” companies with a capital of 1.5 million riyals do not know their fate so far, as the mechanism for bringing in Indonesian domestic workers will differ from the previous method, for companies to recruit domestic workers, and then they are leased to customers, whether on a daily, weekly or Monthly.

She indicated that the Indonesian government stipulated not to bring in individuals or transfer sponsorship to clients, noting that the electronic portal “Musaned” will not allow the issuance of Indonesian domestic worker visas for individuals, as visas will be limited to major companies.

She added that Jakarta insists on keeping domestic workers under the sponsorship of companies and refuses to sponsor individuals, indicating that the Indonesian workers were recruited under the name of “cleaning maid” and are currently recruited as “domestic workers”, and that the recruitment of labor under the name of “cleaning worker” costs companies a fee of regarding 10,000 riyals.
