During their showcase yesterday, THQ Nordic teased at the end of his stream, the next South Park game.
Once the stream ended, a message appeared with the number of games in development but not yet announced. Number of 26We can then see the logo of South Park Digital Studios. And in addition to this appearance, We can hear the voice of our Randy Marsh laugh. All in VO of course. This number will then be crossed out to become 25.
No details have not been revealed except that the game is in development.
But this is not the first time that we have news regarding the next South Park game in development. Finally, somehow…
Betrayed by a job ad
In January of this year 2022, The game had been cited during a developer search request. Indeed, by Question Games, a studio created by former AAA developers whose histories include: Thief: Deadly Shadows, BioShock, Dishonored, and previous South Park games.
The job list hinted that perhaps the game might include multiplayer. Because the studio was looking for someone with experience in level design with multiplayer elements.
The next South Park game will therefore be the 3rd game developed directly inspired by the series of the same name. Series which celebrates this year (this month) its 25 candles since its creation in 1997 by Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
After The Stick of Truth (2014) et The Fractured But Whole (2017), so it will be the 3rd installment of the saga. Knowing that its 2 predecessors had good ratings, will this 3rd game be up to it? We all hope anyway. Stay tuned as soon as we have more info ???? .
