The Argentine ambassador to Venezuela, Oscar Laborde, rejected this Friday the “inappropriate and untimely grievances” once morest the president of his country, Alberto Fernández, expressed by deputies from the government of Nicolás Maduro, who denounced the “kidnapping” of the aircraft held in that nation since June for possible links to international terrorism.
These “grievances”, assured Laborde on his Twitter account, “make it difficult to strengthen bilateral relations”, degraded during the government of Mauricio Macri and resumed following the recent appointments, by both countries, of their diplomatic representatives.

Laborde received this Thursday a delegation from the National Assembly that delivered an agreement approved on Tuesday by the Legislature, in which he denounces the “kidnapping” of the plane and its crew -5 Iranians and 14 Venezuelans-, as well as the “intention” of the United States of “illegally appropriating” the aircraft.
The Argentine ambassador pointed out that, during the “course of a sincere meeting”, he “harshly reproached the president of the delegation, ruling party deputy Pedro Carreño, for his inappropriate and inopportune grievances” towards Fernández.
This, he added, also hinders the “integration process that the great country needs.”
Jorge Rodríguez says that the Judiciary in Argentina is not autonomous
The president of the Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, criticized the Argentine president for his actions in this case and assured that the Judiciary in that country is not autonomous, but depends on the Embassy of the United States.
On August 2, the United States Department of Justice asked Argentina to allow it to confiscate the aircraft, alleging that it is subject to sanctions, since its transfer by the Iranian company Mahan Air to Emtrasur, a subsidiary of the Venezuelan state airline Conviasa violates the export laws of the North American nation.
On Thursday, a judge in Argentina authorized the plane, held at the Ezeiza international airport, on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, to be seized by representatives of the FBI and the Airport Security Police.
The Argentine government considered the same day that the criticism of the Venezuelan Executive for the plane “does not imply a diplomatic incident.”
