The Minister of the Segpres, Giorgio Jackson, He pointed out this Friday night that the idea of ​​resigning “has not crossed my mind”, following the Comptroller’s Office pointed out that he lacked the principle of dismissal in the electoral campaign of the September 4 plebiscite.

After the Comptroller’s statement, the opposition called for Jackson’s resignation, something that the minister ruled out, assuring that “it has not crossed his mind” and that he has the confidence of President Gabriel Boric.

“We have so many challenges ahead of us. that has not crossed my mindand the president has expressed his full support for me in the work we have to do,” Jackson told T13.

Likewise, the minister indicated that they attend to the CGR’s pronouncement, but affirm that the call to present reforms to the proposal for a new Constitution is made to the entire political spectrum.

“By the way, we are collecting what the Comptroller indicates, we have said it multiple times, we have extended the invitation to all sectors, literally we have said wherever they come from to all political forces, so the doors of the Segpres are going to be open to all the proposals that correspond to us to receive”, he maintained.

It should be remembered that this Friday, the CGR determined that Jackson lacked the principle of disregard for the Plebiscite on September 4, giving as an example some statements issued by the minister on August 2.

“Declarations to newscasts and press releases that made public knowledge of the expressions made on August 2, 2022 by the Minister Secretary General of the Presidency were seen,” says the Comptroller’s statement.

“In them it can be seen that the Minister communicated in the media that what is being requested is that, in the case of the I approve option, the parties can send proposals to their State Portfolio, adding that they will receive all the ideas for take out the minimum common”, he adds.
