THQ Nordic waited until the very end of its showcase to make a very nice announcement: a new South Park game is in preparation.
Hot hot hot hot hot !
Last night, THQ Nordic organized its showcase to present some of its upcoming games. If the biggest information undoubtedly concerned the return of the Alone in The Dark licensethe publisher reserved a major surprise at the very end of the event: the announcement of a new software from the completely barred universe of South Park.
“As of today, THQ Nordic (excluding HandyGames) has 43 games in development. 26 of these games have not yet been presented following this Showcase.“It is with this clear and precise declaration that the editor concluded his event yesterday, before however making a small modification. The counter went from 26 games to 25, before the next image appeared on the screen.
The message mightn’t be clearer: the band of Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kenny will soon be making their return to the video game world.
In the vein of previous Ubisoft games?
If this announcement is something to delight fans of the satirical animation series, it is clear that THQ Nordic remains particularly discreet regarding this software for the moment. Apart from its existence, the publisher has not revealed any details regarding this game. However, according to the latest informationthis new opus might well move away from the previous titles signed Ubisoft and Obsidian. Here, we would be dealing with a 3D cooperative or multiplayer adventure game, which would probably contrast with the barred RPGs The Stick of Truth et The Annal of Destiny. The other question that arises is whether this game is the only software from the South Park universe in development or not. IDon’t rule out the possibility of another game not yet featured by South Park Digital Studios. We will therefore have to wait longer before being able to clarify the situation.
