Nicola Peltz “really wanted” to wear a dress designed by Victoria Beckham for her wedding.
The 27-year-old actress married Brooklyn Beckham – Victoria’s eldest son – in April. In the end, she preferred to wear a Valentino dress for her big day instead of a dress designed by the former Spice Girl.
Addressing recent speculation of a feud between her and Victoria, Nicola told Variety, “I was going to [porter sa robe] and I really wanted it, then a few months later she realized her studio mightn’t do it, so I had to go for another dress.”
“She didn’t say I mightn’t wear one of her dresses, I didn’t say I didn’t want to. But that’s when the rumors started.”
For his part, Brooklyn Beckham, 23, also had to deal with speculation regarding a possible feud between Nicola and Victoria, 48.
“Everyone gets along well, which is a good thing,” he adds to Variety. However, sources close to the family have been saying the opposite in the press, and have been for several months.
Earlier this month, Nicola said he was sad when he added “people hurt us” to a social media post amid rumors of a feud with Victoria.
The actress – who is the daughter of New York billionaire Nelson Peltz – posted an image of herself in bed wearing a black cardigan with a teddy bear on her chest. She captioned the eye-catching image:
“Sometimes I find it hard to show the sad parts of me. Growing up with seven siblings and two very strong parents made me very tough, they hammered on me that I shouldn’t let people bring me down or hurt me”.
Adding, “It made me put up such a wall to protect myself, especially in this industry. We all have days when people hurt us and it’s normal to be hurt by them. I just thought I had to write something because I never show that side of me here”.
Ending with, “I really wanted to show that side of me. I love you all so much and I really appreciate all the support you give me”
“It means so much when you are so nice on my networks. I want you to know that I see you, and that means a lot to me”.
