European shares rose at the end of Friday’s trading session, the twelfth of August, recording weekly gains, amid a follow-up to economic data and central bank actions regarding monetary policy.
At the end of the session, the STOXX600 index rose by 0.26% to 441 points, the German DAX rose 0.85% to 13809 points, while the British FTSE rose 0.53% to 7,505 points.
The French CAC rose 0.14% to 6553 points.
European shares gained, supported by a rise in the travel and leisure sector by 3.9%, while retail shares fell by 0.4%.
