Worlds: Switzerland 7th before the last round

The Swiss riders lived through difficult moments at the Worlds in Herning. At the end of the second day of competition, the Swiss team which includes the Jura player Steve Guerdat is now in 7th place.

Only Pius Schwizer, whose result was crossed out during the hunt on Wednesday, had a clear run with Vancouver. Edouard Schmitz, riding Quno, and Martin Fuchs with Leone Jei each knocked down a bar. Steve Guerdat and Venard de Cerisy made two mistakes.

With 14.83 penalty points, Switzerland is in 7th place before the last round scheduled for Friday evening. However, all hope of a medal is not lost: Germany is thus 3rd with 11.76 penalty points. The differences are therefore small.

Sweden in the lead

Sweden leads the way with 3.69 points ahead of France (5.44), already qualified for the Paris 2024 Olympics as an organizer. A 6th place on Friday should therefore be sufficient to clinch an Olympic place.

In the individual classification, Martin Fuchs remains the best Swiss representative. But he is now only in 15th place. Steve Guerdat is in 48th place.
