Deliveries of Russian oil to the Czech Republic via the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline, interrupted on August 4, have been resumed. It is reported by Czech Television with reference to the operator MERO.

“The deliveries of Russian oil to the Czech Republic via the southern branch of the Druzhba pipeline have resumed. Pumping resumed on Friday at 20:00 CET (21:00 Moscow time – approx. URA.RU),” the message says.

Earlier, Transneft reported that Ukrtransnafta stopped pumping Russian oil towards Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia via the Druzhba pipeline. This is due to the fact that the Russian company Transneft was unable to pay Ukraine for transit services due to EU sanctions. After that, the Hungarian oil and gas company MOL announced its readiness pay for transit services instead of Russia. Transpetrol representative Linda Vashkovichova stated that oil supplies to the Czech Republic will not be restored.
