Exclusive translation: Footage showed Ukrainian soldiers targeting Russian vehicles and armored vehicles in a forest with British-made missiles, according to the Express newspaper.
She explained that the Ukrainian forces were able to launch a barrage of anti-tank missiles, which hit many armored vehicles.
One of the Ukrainian soldiers, who described their work as “fantastic”, said that they used British “Javelin” missiles as well as homemade missiles in those operations.
The Ukrainian Defense Minister confirmed last month that his country had acquired 6,900 anti-tank missiles that were sent to repel the Russian President’s forces.
How to target armor
Regarding the method of targeting Russian armored vehicles and tanks, one of the soldiers added in his statement to the “Radio Free Europe” website, which is funded by the US government: “First we search for the right place, then dig a trench and wait for the target to pass… We have many units and each unit is stationed in a certain place.”
He noted that in some cases they get information from reconnaissance units, track the target themselves and then direct the missiles at it.
He confirmed that they use infrared radiation during the night, as the Javelin missiles, which hunt the target, are directed with precision.
