Remo Freuler before moving from Atalanta Bergamo to Nottingham Forrest

According to Italian media reports, Atalanta and Premier League promoted Nottingham Forest have agreed on a transfer fee of 12 million euros including bonus payments. FC Winterthur, the Freulers training club, also gets a small share of this. FC Luzern also participates in the transfer. When asked by Blick, those responsible did not want to say how much goes into the coffers of central Switzerland. The FCL will not make the big bargaining chip. Freuler moved to what was then Serie A midfield club in January 2016 following two and a half seasons.

Now the Zurich Oberlander is moving on. In the East Midlands, Freuler joins a club with a glorious past. In 1978, the Reds won their only championship title under the legendary Brian Clough. In 1979 and 1980 triumphs in the championship cup followed. In spring, the oldest football club in the world returned to the Premier League following 23 years. And the Greek owner Evangelos Marinakis has big plans: Freuler is already the 13th newcomer this summer. The start, however, went flutes. In Newcastle it put off a 0-2 defeat.
