Above the Laï Thaï sign on the facade, the inscription Café du Gothard still stands. The owner, Daniel Tso, pays homage to a mythical bistro in old Chêne-Bourg where we feasted on scoundrel dishes. Many years ago, the place was transformed. The walls of the room were covered with teak and the venerable chairs were replaced by rattan armchairs. The parish priest’s garden, hidden at the back of the establishment, has been replaced by a charming Asian terrace with its pond where goldfish roam.
