A fatal work accident occurred early Tuesday afternoon at Essity in Stembert, reports L’Avenir Verviers. The labor auditor confirms the information on Wednesday and indicates that the worker was carrying out repairs on a flat roof of an Essity warehouse (ex-Mabelpap), on behalf of a subcontractor.
The 37-year-old man from Herve fell six meters, said the labor auditor who descended on the scene of the accident as well as a controller of well-being at work. “According to the initial information, there were no protective devices in place to prevent falls. The roof repair site is therefore at a standstill while carrying out checks but also to secure the premises”, concludes the magistrate presses the labor auditor.
