As the water level rises, a flood advisory has been issued near Heungdeok Bridge in Cheongju.

Currently, a heavy rain warning has been issued for five cities and counties in North Chungcheong Province, and a heavy rain advisory has been issued for the rest of the region.

Reports of road flooding have been reported in various places, including apartment complexes in Bokdae-dong, Cheongju-si, due to the rain that started pouring around the time of work.

So far, the accumulated precipitation has recorded 231 mm in Baekun in Jecheon, 228 in Heungdeok in Cheongju, 202 in Cheongcheon in Goesan and 192 mm in Yeongchun in Danyang.

As it rained heavily, 40 rain damage reports were received in Chungbuk today.

In Cheongju, the road was completely submerged in water, and nearby shops were flooded.

In Danyang, as the current of the Namhan River grew stronger, the stonework along the riverside road fell off.

The Chungju Dam is pumping out 2,000 tons of water per second downstream.

Goesan Dam also started discharging today, opening all 7 sluice gates and discharging 500 tons of water per second.

During the night, stronger rain was forecast than yesterday in Chungbuk.

In particular, as the rain cloud belt descends further south, it is likely to pour a lot of rain over 250mm from the central and southern regions of Chungcheongbuk-do to the day following day.
