Today (Wednesday) the Citizen’s Account Program deposited 3.6 billion riyals allocated for the month of August support for beneficiaries whose applications were completed, as the number of beneficiaries who met the eligibility criteria in the fifty-seventh installment reached 10.9 million and continued, bringing the total amount paid by the program to beneficiaries since its inception more than 127 billion riyals, of which One billion and 133 million riyals in compensation for previous payments.

The Director General of Communications for the Citizen Account Program Abdullah Al-Hajri stated that 76% of the beneficiaries received support in this batch, and the average support for one family amounted to 1974 riyals, while the number of heads of families reached more than 2.1 million heads of families, constituting 90%, while the number of heads of households reached more than 2.1 million. Affiliates 8.5 million beneficiaries, and the number of independents who met the eligibility criteria reached more than 233,000 beneficiaries, constituting 10% of the total main beneficiaries.

Al-Hajri pointed out that the percentage of heads of household reached 90%, while the percentage of female heads of household reached 10%, while the percentage of independent females was 42%, and independent males constituted 58%, indicating that 91% of the total independents received the full entitlement, which amounted to 1086 riyals per independent individual.

The Director General of Communication revealed that the program monitored a number of beneficiaries who obtained support illegally, because of their concealment of essential information and their failure to disclose their income, in violation of the program’s controls and the declarations approved by the beneficiary upon registration. A number of beneficiaries own real estate and have financial returns and contracts documented in a rental platform, and this income was not disclosed, and among those cases, six of the program beneficiaries have been receiving support for more than two years, and each of them owns more than 79 properties that receive annual financial returns from Documented lease contracts that they did not disclose, which called on the program to stop the support for them and deal with them in accordance with the program’s controls, useful that the program links, updates and reviews the beneficiaries’ data periodically with the relevant authorities to ensure that they are in conformity with what the beneficiary disclosed in the electronic portal to ensure that support is directed to eligible families .

Al-Hajri noted that the program will apply Article 20 to anyone who deceives for the purpose of obtaining support without any right, as the article states: “The provision of misleading information, documents or material data, or concealment of any material information that must be disclosed under the provisions of the controls, or fraud. in any way to obtain support, whether in a support request or otherwise; Suspending the subsidy from the main beneficiary and depriving him of obtaining the subsidy for a period not exceeding two years, or recovering the subsidy he unlawfully obtained in accordance with the necessary legal procedures for this, or taking both of them.
