5 mistakes that eliminate the benefits of juice and make it harmful to health

Al-Marsad newspaper: Nutrition experts revealed a number of conditions for preparing fresh fruit or vegetable juice, to take advantage of its nutritional advantages, and so as not to become harmful to health.

Experts explained, according to “The Health Site”, that the first mistake made by those who prepare juice is adding sugar and sweeteners, which leads to raising blood sugar, while what is required from a health point of view is to use naturally sweet fruits.

The second mistake occurs when preparing juice from what are known green vegetables such as spinach and cabbage, as some people mix vegetables that do not fit together, and then, the taste may become bitter, and may lead to a feeling of nausea for those who drink it.

Since we use the electric juicer to prepare the drink, this is where the third mistake occurs, because the heat generated by the machine and its power lead to the spoilage of useful nutrients.

The fourth mistake is to prepare the juice and then leave it in the refrigerator for a later time, and this reduces its nutritional value, even if the drink remains valid for up to 24 hours.

The fifth mistake is squeezing some fruits without removing their seeds, and this matter is tainted by danger because the seeds of some fruits contain harmful substances known as “cyanogenic toxins”, and they also make the juice taste bitter and unpleasant.
