Rémy Thomas, executive chef at the Viennese caterer Declerck represents Isère in the “Combat des Régions” on M6

This is M6’s new cooking show which started in July. Chefs, cuisine: as its title suggests, it is a competition between French regions.

After “Home Chefs” and “The Academy of Cakes”, the M6 ​​channel has indeed launched a new cooking competition, once more with Norbert Tarayre headlining. The chef hosts the show with two other guests, culinary journalist Aurélie Chaigneau and three-star chef Gilles Goujon.

This competition is contested by… 56 chefs!

Eight culinary regions compete each week.

So every day, two regions compete in a duel through three tests: appetizer, tradition test and creation test. The leaders can count on the support of a delegation from the department or region they are defending, made up of three local figures.

For Isère, Rémy Thomas, 32, the executive chef of the Viennese caterer Declerck, was chosen to represent the department where he works and lives.

It is true that this choice is easily explained: Rémy Thomas was trained by two of the greatest French chefs: Paul Bocuse and Alain Ducasse.

He was chef de partie for the first, in Orlando, Florida, and 1st clerk for the Louis XV in Monaco for the second.

He began his training at the Bellerive hotel school in Vienna, for his BEP cuisine and his training as a chef, before joining the hotel school “Le clos d’or” where he obtained his Bac Cuisine, and Culinary Arts with honors good…

As executive chef at Declerck, Rémy Thomas is in charge of production, the creation of new dishes, from the cold bite of the cocktail to the dessert…
