The Ministry of Justice confirmed that the father’s guardianship over his minor children is compulsory and does not transfer to anyone else, and no person has the right to take a guardianship over the children during the father’s life.
The ministry clarified that the father’s guardianship over minor children is transferred to others in only two cases, namely upon the father’s death or in the case of his mental deficiency.
She pointed out that if the father relinquishes the guardianship of any of his minor children, the court decides what he can appropriate if the guardianship is transferred to the mother or otherwise.
