Ecuador announced first death from monkeypox

The Ecuadorian Ministry of Health announced on Monday the first death from monkeypox in the country, as well as the arrest of three new cases of the virus.

Through a statement, published on his Twitter account, he explained that Ecuador has recorded 10 positive cases, since the detection of the first case.

In the text, it details that the three cases mentioned are between 20 and 49 years old; and were identified in Santa Elena, Los Ríos and Azuay.

“Citizens are stable in their homes and under surveillance. The epidemiological fence of their close contacts has been lifted,” he says. the text.
