Muhammad Al-Sarrah, honorary member of the Saudi Al-Taawon Club, revealed the latest developments regarding the recruitment crisis of Mustafa Fathi, the team’s wing.
Mustafa Fathi did not join the cooperation camp in the Netherlands in preparation for the new season due to military service.
Al-Sarrah said in statements to Al-Hayat channel: “Mustafa Fathi is a great and distinguished player, and the club’s management challenged a lot in order to bring this player to his enormous potential, and there is no doubt that he had a clear imprint on the team last season.”
He added, “The Cooperation Department is committed to Mustafa Fathi, but we are waiting for the player’s recruitment papers to be completed as soon as possible.”
He continued, “Mustafa is a strong addition to the cooperation, and we hope that the player will join the team’s camp quickly in the Netherlands.”
Saudi reports had previously stated that Mustafa Fathi did not leave Cairo Airport in order to go to the Netherlands due to military service, which prevented him from leaving the country, and thus he was unable to catch up with his team’s mission in Holland.
