Al-Ajiri Al-Alami Al-Marzim The last and hottest summer season ends tomorrow

Al-Ajiri Scientific Center said today, Tuesday, that the Marzam season ends tomorrow, Wednesday, and is considered the last and hottest summer season.

Director of Public Relations and Media at the Astronomical Center Khaled Al-Jamaan added to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the duration of the Marzam season is 13 continuous days, according to the calculation of the Al-Ujairi calendar, and the heat during this period is intense annually.

Al-Jamaan explained that the equinox in Kuwait will be in the month of September, with the beginning of the fall season and the end of the summer season.

He mentioned that (Al Marzam) is the thirteenth season in terms of arrangement between seasons, followed by the Kulaibin season, i.e. the usual wet season in Kuwait and precedes the Suhail season.

And he indicated that the title of the Marzam season is due to the star of Al-Marzam, or as the astronomer is called the star of Sirius, which is characterized by its intense shine.

He pointed out that this star is the brightest star in the sky ever, and its luminosity is estimated to be twice the brightness of the Suhail star, and it is 8.6 light-years away from Earth.

Al-Jama’an said that the marzim season is also called (the ember of heat) in an indication of the intense heat during this period.

He pointed out that the climatic seasons in the astronomical calendar are periods of time whose duration is determined according to the ascension of the stars, and they are derived from the position of the Earth during its rotation around the sun.
