On Thursday July 28, 2022, a woman felt unwell in Jumet, during the Madeleine festivities. It was an overdose: she was hospitalized in a condition considered serious and unfortunately died the following followingnoon.
During the night, while hospital staff were still fighting to keep the victim alive, the local judicial police in Charleroi were able to confirm two pieces of information: the woman had consumed cocaine, and her dealer might be identified.
A search is then carried out by the ORA (Observation, Research and Arrest) service of the judicial police, at the victim’s home. In the process, with a warrant, an “enhanced” search (with special units of the GSA) is made at the dealer’s. The man was arrested on the spot, and the police found 22,500 euros, 1.5 kg of cocaine, two handguns (alarm pistols) and dealer equipment (precision scales, sachets, etc.).
The dealer was placed under arrest warrant on Saturday July 30, indicate the Charleroi prosecutor’s office and the police in a joint press release.
