Mohamed Awad Taj El-Din, Advisor to the President for Health and Preventive Affairs, revealed the latest developments in the health status of the Corona virus in Egypt.
In a telephone conversation with the media, Sayed Ali, on the “Hazrat Al-Citizen” program broadcast on Al-Hadath Al-Youm channel this Monday evening, Taj Al-Din said that there is a decrease in the number of injuries this week.
He added, “There was an increase in the number of injuries during the past two weeks, but during this week there was a decrease in the number of injuries.”
He stressed the importance of receiving vaccinations, which was the reason for reducing the epidemiological burden of the virus. He explained that there are still 65 million doses available for citizens to receive, whether booster doses or the first and second doses.
With regard to the monkeypox virus, he indicated that it is no longer a pandemic, but the World Health Organization has declared a state of emergency and that there is intense and critical anticipation due to its spread in a large number of countries in the world.
He pointed out that there is anticipation in the number of infections, especially with the announcement of the death toll from the virus, but so far, no case of the virus has been recorded in Egypt.
The President’s Adviser for Health and Preventive Affairs indicated that 75% of the spread of this virus is in the European Union and 20% in North and South America.
