The individual, a 41-year-old Russian, had used a forklift to climb the prison wall. He is the subject of an international alert and a European arrest warrant has been issued once morest him. The individual was able to escape from prison on August 4, 2021 at 10:45 a.m. At the time, dozens of agents, tracker dogs and a helicopter had been deployed, but the massive search operations around the penitentiary establishment had come to nothing, as did the searches outside the perimeter. The federal police had also issued a wanted notice.
Muslim Abubakarov was imprisoned in 2012 for a series of offenses, including the use of forgery and fraud, but above all for violent robbery and hostage-taking involving acts of torture. He still had more than three years to serve.
