Fernanda Urrejola returned to Chile following six years living in the United States. The actress, along with confirming that she will marry her partner, Francisca Alegría, also revealed the reasons for her return.
Urrejola spoke with Humberto Sichel in Free Taxithe talk section of Chilevisión Noticias.
The actress explained regarding her arrival in the country following her long stay that “everything is mixed up, but interesting. There is a feeling of effervescence, a lot of movement, I love it”.
He also stressed that he returned to Chile for a very special reason. “I’m here for something special, I’m here to work, to develop The House of the Spirits (series),” Fernanda explained.
“That was a great goal because, well, The House of the Spirits is one of the most important pieces of Latin American literature, especially feminists, they are rights that everyone fights for,” he added.
Along the same lines, he revealed that they spoke with the author of the book, Isabel Allende. “She loved where we were taking the series, she told us ‘take this novel and transform it as you see fit, you have my come and total freedom to do it”, she explained.
Fernanda also revealed to the journalist that she had plans to marry her partner, Francisca Alegría. “Especially now that it is legal in Chile,” he explained.
