Tariq Al-Ashry, the technical director of Talaa Al-Jaish, hinted at the possibility of Mustafa Fathi, the Saudi Al-Taawoun player, moving to the team.
Mustafa Fathi is absent from the camp of his Saudi team, Al-Taawoun, for the preparation period for the new season.
Tariq Al-Ashry said in statements to Al-Mehwar TV: “Mustafa Fathi to the pioneers of the army? A great possibility.”
The Saudi newspaper, “Al-Riyadia”, reported earlier that Fathi was unable to leave Cairo airport to go to the Netherlands, where the team’s camp is being held.
The report indicated that the military service was the reason why Fathi was prevented from leaving Cairo, and thus his absence from cooperation.

The newspaper pointed out that Saud al-Rashudi, head of cooperation, is making attempts to solve this crisis.
The cooperation camp started in the Netherlands on July 22nd and ends on August 16th.
The report touched on what was raised regarding Mustafa Fathi’s agreement with Al-Ahly, but he made it clear that this will only happen with the approval of cooperation.
Mostafa Fathi had joined Al-Taawon last January, coming from Zamalek.
Fathi had previously played on loan for Al-Taawon in the 2017-2018 season, and he also went out on loan to Smouha before his final departure from Zamalek.
The 28-year-old winger played 12 matches in the Saudi League last season, during which he scored 5 goals and assisted two goals.
Al-Taawun ranked 12th in the Saudi League last season.
