Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola said following his new player Erling Haaland scored both goals in the 2-0 win over West Ham United, that the Norwegian striker adapted quickly to the style of play of the Premier League champions.
Halland played his first game in the league by scoring in each half, and the start was with a penalty kick in the first half, so that City began the defense journey in a distinctive way at the London Stadium.
Guardiola told Sky Sports regarding the 22-year-old, who joined from Borussia Dortmund this summer: We had no doubts that a player who scored goals since his birth would score goals here.
“Haaland gave us his potential,” he added. We will not change much, but we will adapt. We know we have strength here. He runs a lot deep in the field and is good at finishing attacks.
He continued sarcastically: A week ago, he was unable to adapt in the league following meeting Liverpool, and everyone laughs at him, and now he is compared to Henry and Cristiano Ronaldo.
He added: “He adapts very well to the way we want to play. We will try to use him more and hopefully we can give him the opportunity to score more goals.
