Teas differ in taste, aroma, type of plant, method of manufacture and preparation, but different types of tea may help you lose weight by increasing the rate of burning and getting rid of excess fat, when prepared in a healthy way and not overeating.

Conselto reviews in the following report the types of tea that may help get rid of excess fat, according to the “Health line.”

1- green tea

Green tea is one of the most popular teas with many health benefits. It is also one of the most effective teas for weight loss. There is strong evidence linking green tea to lower weight and body fat.

Another study found that people who took green tea extract for 12 weeks experienced significant reductions in body weight, body fat, and waist circumference.

This may be because green tea extract is particularly rich in antioxidants, which may boost metabolism and increase fat burning.

This same effect also applies to matcha, a highly concentrated form of green tea powder that contains the same beneficial ingredients as regular green tea.

2- Chinese tea

Chinese tea contains polyphenols, which contribute to improving the body’s metabolism, and this was confirmed by a study published in the Journal of Integrative Chinese Medicine in 2009, adding that it contributes to the breakdown of triglycerides, which cause the appearance of the rumen.

Several studies have shown that oolong tea can help promote weight loss by improving fat burning and speeding up metabolism.

3- black tea

Several studies have found that black tea can be effective when it comes to weight control. One study in 111 people found that drinking three cups of black tea daily for three months significantly increased weight loss and reduced waist circumference.

4- white tea

White tea has a distinct flavor that is completely different from other teas. Extracted from the camellia plant, white tea can help with weight loss, as some studies suggest that it contains similar amounts of antioxidants, which may help promote weight loss.

Research has also indicated that white tea extract increases the breakdown of fat cells while preventing the formation of new cells.

5- Herbal tea

Popular herbal teas include rooibos tea, ginger tea, rosehip tea, and hibiscus tea, although ingredients and compositions of herbal teas can vary widely and some studies have found that herbal teas may help with weight loss and fat loss.
