Rains cause rivers to overflow in Carabobo (+ photos)

The heavy rainfall recorded this weekend in Carabobo caused the overflow of the Canoabo and Urama rivers, located on the coast and west of the entity.

Local authorities reported that in the Juan José Mora municipality, the Urama River burst its banks, flooding several homes and streets in Canoabito, El Charal, La Luna, La Jobera and the entrance to San Pablo de Urama.

Until now, those affected had not been quantified, due to the fact that communications are down in the area. Although some rescue bodies speak of some 200 houses affected.

On Saturday followingnoon, to the west of the entity, the rains also caused the overflow of the Canoabo River, located in the Bejuma municipality.

It was known that the cause of the water dragged a Chevrolet brand vehicle, Corsa model, gray, with two people on board, who managed to get out without injury.
