Dragon Ball FighterZ: PS5 and Xbox Series X and S versions with netcode rollback announced, Frenchman Wawa wins the EVO 2022 competition!

You know, it’s this weekend that takes place l’EVO 2022 in Las Vegasdont the line-up includes among other things Dragon Ball FighterZ. Good news, it is the Frenchman Marwan “Wawa” Berthe who has just won the final of the tournament dedicated to the game Bandai Namco ! You can watch the last moments of his match once morest the American Nitro below.

There is clearly something to celebrate for him, but that’s not all, because the whole community will finally get what it has been asking for for a long time already, from rollback netcode to play online in better conditions ! It was producer Tomoko Hiroki who announced it on stage, a statement then translated into English as you can see. For the moment, no precise date has been given, but we have at least the certainty that the developers are working on it. It also remains to be seen whether all platforms will be affected, in particular the Switch.

Last I heard earlier this year, C-21 (lab coat) had been added to roster and will be the last character included in the game, with no more fighters or balancing updates planned.

Update : PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have also been announced, with the rollback netcode integrated. They will be offered free of charge to owners of the games on PS4 and Xbox One. On PC, the rollback netcode will be optional if you ever do not want to use it or do not have a computer with the required specifications, which will be higher than those currently requested. On the other hand, contrary to what the initial announcement implied, it seems that the PS4 and Xbox One versions are not entitled to this feature

If you still don’t have it in your toy library, Dragon Ball FighterZ is always for sale on Amazon.
