Sierra Leonean player Mohamed Boya Toray did not expect that the date of his wedding, which he planned to hold at the end of last July, would coincide with the camp of his new team, Malmo of Sweden, but the conflict between the two dates did not prevent him from holding the ceremony, so he sent his brother instead to attend him.
The player told the Swedish press: The party was supposed to take place on July 21 in Sierra Leone, but I might not be in the country during this date because Malmö officials asked me to come early to the team camp.
He continued, “We did a photo session earlier, to show that I was present at the wedding, but I was not there, my brother who played my part at the time.”
The player terminated civil marriage procedures in Sierra Leone, but he did not attend the private religious ceremonies or the ceremony following that.
The player concluded: I will try to take her to Sweden to be close to me. You will live here with me. First, we’ll win the league, and then I’ll go on our honeymoon.
