Islamic Jihad’s rockets target West Jerusalem amid continuing Israeli air strikes on Gaza

The western suburbs of Jerusalem woke up Sunday to sirens and explosions from long-range Palestinian rockets fired at Israel. For its part, Islamic Jihad confirmed that it had launched missiles towards Jerusalem, while the Israeli army continued to launch air raids on the Gaza Strip.

For its part, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad announced on Sunday that it had fired missiles towards Jerusalem, shortly following the sirens sounded in the area, according to the Israeli army.

This is the first time that rockets have been fired at Jerusalem since the ongoing escalation with Israel in the Gaza Strip began.
