crowned Qatar national team The Gulf Cup for Youth Basketball Under 18, hosted by the UAE at Al-Wasl Sports Club in Dubai, on Saturday, following its victory over the Saudi national teamwith a score (75-51) in the final match.

The final match was strong on the part of the two teams, but the preference was given to the players of Qatar, who dominated the decisive times in the first half, and then increased the difference in the result, and entered the second half with ease, maintaining this difference and achieving victory.

The Qatar Stars starred in the counter-attack and the three-pointers, and more than one player emerged impressively, especially in the crucial times, in which they maintained a comfortable lead of points, led by Sultan Abu Issa, who excelled in the attack and scored 12 points, and in defense by spoiling him more than attack, as well as achieving the best follow-up, to be crowned the best player of the tournament.

The Qatari team won the championship title well and deservedly, following winning all seven matches it played throughout the tournament.

It is noteworthy that the teams of Qatar and Saudi Arabia won the two qualifying cards for the Gulf Championship to the finals of the Asian Basketball Championship for U-18 Youth, which will be held in Iran at the end of this month, following qualifying for the final match in the Gulf Championship.
