There was some news at the start of the EVO 2022 event last night Guilty Gear Strive, The King of Fighters XV and other titles that continue to receive updates. Also news too Street Fighter VI were shared.
For Guilty Gear Strive the plans for the coming months were presented. Accordingly, the input lag on PS5 has been or will be further reduced, you can look forward to new character colors, while new characters will follow in the coming year.
Much more exciting, however, was the announcement that the crossplay feature will be introduced in September and will initially be tested in a global beta. Further details will follow shortly.
The King of Fighters XV
The same applies to The King of Fighters XV, which also gets crossplay support. While more detailed plans are still being held back, the rough plan envisages the introduction in the coming year.
For that you might see the release date for das Team Awakened Orochi for August 8th, consisting of Orochi Yashiro, Orochi Sherie and Orochi Chris. Another DLC for The King of Fighters XV follows later this year.
Street Fighter VI
Also Street Fighter VI was a brief topic at the EVO 2022 event, for which two new live commentators were confirmed.
Joining them are Tasty Steve, a play-by-play commentator who brings his trademark hype and charisma to the match. The second character is James Chen, who will provide additional analysis of the plot.
Street Fighter VI will appear next year.
There was some excitement on the fringes of EVO with a poll asking what players would want if NFTs were offered in some form here. That didn’t go down too well with the audience, but it was also just a poll that doesn’t have to mean anything in the end.
More information from the EVO 2022 event is expected over the weekend.
