If you find that you are unable to access the Games Folder in Windows 7 or its link won’t open or you can’t launch a game from it, here are a few things you might want to try.
Game explorer not working
To open the Windows 7 Games folder, you normally need to click the Games Explorer link in the Start menu.
If you don’t see the Games link here, click Start > Right-click > Properties > Start Menu tab > Customize > Select Games > Show as link or Show as menu > OK > Apply > OK

You can also type Hull: games in the Windows Start menu search bar and press Enter to open the Games folder.
But if the Games Explorer folder does not open in your Windows, do this:
Taper ordered in the Windows 7 Start menu search. When ordered appears accordingly, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
In the elevated command prompt, type
regsvr32.exe gameux.dll
and press Enter. This will re-record the gameux dll dossier.
Now if when launching a game from the game explorer, you get an error message:
This file does not have an associated program to perform this action. Create an association in the set of ControlPanel associations
Then open regedit and navigate to the following key:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTlnkfile
If it doesn’t exist, in the right pane, create a new string value (REG_SZ) Call it EstRaccourci . Click OK > Close Regedit > Restart.
Hope this helps!
