Shock in the Luján River: they confirmed that the bodies found belong to the people who were missing | The accident occurred near San Fernando

Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) confirmed this Friday that the two bodies found in the Luján River correspond to the men who were wanted following the collision between a boat and a boat that occurred on Thursday.

The local head of the Prefecture, Cristian Sarasua, informed the press that the bodies found belong to Martín Castro, 33, and Sergio Duarte, 30, the two people who have been missing since the accident occurred.

The incidents occurred around 7:40 p.m. on Thursday.. The rowing boat broke in the middle following being hit by a sports boat that was traveling at high speed with its drunken drivers. The search for the two people who were missing was paused at dawn due to the lack of light and it resumed this morning in a wider search area.

After the impact, the Naval Prefecture intervened in the rescue of the people who were ejected from the boat. Two boaters were rescued from the water with injuries. and transferred to the Petrona V de Cordero Hospital to receive medical attention.

After a call to 911, police officers approached the place and performed an alcohol test on the driver of the boat and his companion. Both of them tested positive for breathalyzer and they were arrested. The investigation of the facts was left in the hands of the prosecutor Jose Amallo, head of the UFI Tigre-Rincón.

Who are the crew of the boat

The people who were traveling in the boat were identified by the police as Verónica Castro (35), Sixto Quiroga (29), Martín Daniel Castro (33) and Sergio Daniel Duarte (30). The first two were those who were injured and taken to a health center. According to local media, the men worked as stakeholders in a delta house and the woman as a domestic worker.

Relatives of the victims indicated that the small boat was in adequate conditions to navigate, since it was a tour that their loved ones made daily to travel to their places of work.
