Dubai: A dedicated center is coming up to help harness the latest technologies in the industrial sector. The center is being established in the country to adopt new technological excellences including artificial intelligence and virtual reality known as fourth industrial revolution technology in the production sector. The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology and Abu Dhabi defense technology company ‘Edge’ Group have signed a preliminary agreement to set up the centre.

The ministry said in a statement that the center will examine and help implement how automation and other technologies can be used to improve operations in the construction sector. The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by Mohammed Al Qasim, Director of Technology Development and Adoption at the Ministry and Reda Nidakou, Senior Vice President of Strategy and Portfolio Management at ‘Edge’ Group. Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Al Jabr, Minister of State for Public Education and Future Technology Dr. Celebrities like Sarah Al Amiri witnessed the ceremony.

Minister Sultan Al Jabr said that advanced technologies will increase efficiency, productivity, safety and quality while reducing costs and creating more jobs. He added that the upcoming center will enhance the country’s industrial resilience and competitiveness and accelerate economic diversification. The UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology is tasked with strengthening the UAE’s industrial sector.
