The Spaniard Mark Cucurella entered the history of the English club Chelsea, following officially joining the Blues, today, Friday, from Brighton, in a deal worth 65.3 million euros, during the current summer transfer period.
Cucurella became the most expensive defensive deal that Chelsea signed in its history, surpassing the deal of Ben Chilwell, who came from Leicester City two seasons ago, at a value of 50.2 million euros.
Cucurella is Chelsea’s third deal during the current summer Mercato, following including Raheem Sterling, Manchester City star and strong Senegalese defender Kalidou Koulibaly from Naples, Italy..
The Blues team had supported its defense during the current summer Mercato with the inclusion of Senegalese Calido Coulibaly, to compensate for the departure of the duo Anthony Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to Real Madrid and Barcelona, respectively.
