Relationship with the Former Unification Church “I thought regarding the children I didn’t know” event executive committee Kagoshima Prefecture[08/05 19:40]
Members of the executive committee for the “Peace Road” event included Diet members, prefectural and city council members related to Kagoshima Prefecture. The prefectural assembly chairman of the event said, “I didn’t know” regarding the relationship with the group that seems to be related to the former Unification Church.
A list of the event’s executive committee obtained by MBC included the names of two current LDP members of the House of Representatives and one former member of the House of Representatives as “advisors.” In addition, two prefectural assembly members of the Liberal Democratic Party, four Kagoshima City Council members of the Liberal Democratic Party, and one former city councilor of Aira City also served as committee members.
Yasuhide Nagata, a prefectural assembly member of the Liberal Democratic Party, whose name was written as one of them as the chairman of the executive committee, responded to MBC’s interview.
(Liberal Democratic Party Yasuhide Nagata Prefectural Assembly member) “(Q. Was it an event of an organization related to the former Unification Association?) I don’t know at all. I don’t know.”
Mr. Nagata participated in last year’s convention for the first time as a “committee member” following participating in a seminar of a related organization through an acquaintance’s introduction, but he says that he had no religious tinges.
(Liberal Democratic Party Yasuhide Nagata Prefectural Assembly member) “An event in which children join the sash on their own bicycles while appealing for peace. I thought it was a good initiative for nurturing young people and as an adult.” ?) Not at all.”
He has stated that he has no affiliation with elections or political groups, and will review the relationship in the future.
(LDP Yasuhide Nagata Prefectural Assembly member)
“There is no financial support at all. However, various people come to support the election, so I can’t say 100% that (believers) have personally come to the speech meeting or the office.”
“I did it for the sake of the children, but I have to reflect on it.”
