US leaders to visit Taiwan again; Nancy Pelosi

Nancy Pelosi says US leaders will still visit Taiwan and China can’t stop them. US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said that Taiwan will not be isolated. Pelosi was speaking at a public event in Tokyo, Japan. Nancy Pelosi is the first US House Speaker to visit Taiwan in 25 years.

Pelosi stated that Taiwan will provide all necessary security and will protect Taiwan with an iron curtain. Meanwhile, following Pelosi’s visit, China conducted its largest military exercise in history around Taiwan. China has conducted its largest-ever military exercise on the island and in the airspace around Taiwan.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan was being carefully monitored and that even the slightest provocation by the US would be taken into account. Pelosi met with President Tsai Ing-wen in Taiwan.

China’s continued military drills have severely criticized Taiwan. Taiwan’s Prime Minister Tzu Tseng Chan said the evil neighbor is showing its power at our doorstep. Xu Zeng Chan was responding to a question from journalists related to China’s military exercises.
