“It is fundamentally important that there is no sugar in alcohol. Real champagne should be without sugar. In this case, it is less harmful. The main thing when drinking any alcohol, not just champagne, is not to do it quickly, so that in two hours there are less than five units. Optimally – one unit for a woman and two units for a man, ”said Pavel Bogomolov.
According to the gastroenterologist, to reduce the health risks of drinking alcohol, you need to exercise and eat normally. “You need to exercise regularly, since the muscles carry out the so-called“ alternative pathway ”of alcohol metabolism, if a person has developed muscle mass, then liver damage in such people from alcohol occurs less frequently.
