Webtoon writer Gian84 (real name Kim Hee-min) has released a soju collaboration with a mainstream company.
Gian84 posted a photo on his Instagram on the 3rd with the words “I’ve been drinking. Let’s drink a lot”.
In the photo, you can see a bottle of soju made by Kian84 in collaboration with a liquor company.
The figure of Woo Ki-myung, a popular character in Kian 84’s famous webtoon ‘Fashion King’, is attached to the bottle label. Gian84 was proud of being certified as ‘honsul’ by adding snacks to soju with his own picture on it.
To this post, comedian Na-rae Park said, “Even soju that only hot people make! It’s this for Chuseok.” Webtoon writer Joo Ho-min responded, “It’s worth drinking every day.”
Netizens expressed their anticipation, such as “It’s a limited edition, can I eat it?”, “The snacks are poor”, “I’m going to buy it right now”, “I can’t eat it because it’s a waste”.
On the 27th of last month, Gian84 announced that it had collaborated with the liquor business under the concept of ‘the smallest exhibition in the world’.
Four of Gian 84’s pop art works were put on the front label of the mainstream, and these works were presented at the ‘1st Solo Exhibition’ by Gian 84 in March. Limited to 1 million bottles.
Gian84 is currently appearing on MBC’s variety show ‘I Live Alone’. He also runs a personal YouTube channel and actively communicates with his fans.
