Logitech joins hands with Tencent to launch portable cloud devices
Logitech G and Chinese gaming company Tencent Games have signed a partnership to develop portable cloud gaming devices.
Logitech G is also working with Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce Now to develop devices that support multiple cloud game services. The cloud game service does not require downloading or installing the game on the game machine, and rendering is performed on a remote server.
Tencent Games said that it is the beginning of a new opportunity for the company to further innovate its gaming devices. According to Logitech G, the idea of streaming and enjoying AAA games anywhere is exciting and we expect to see results soon.
However, information regarding the specific shape or design of the device and the specific playable titles has not yet been revealed. According to the report, thanks to Nintendo Switch and Steam Deck, high-end mobile games are increasing in recent years, and it is not surprising that cloud gaming services are mature and entering to profit.
