Not everyone manages to get cinema tickets by playing on Océane, so there are other sometimes simple ideas to pay less for their cinema ticket. The solution is called Ozzak!
In summer when it’s hot, one of the solutions to cool off is to go to the cinema, where the dark rooms are, for the most part, air-conditioned. Good plan, now let’s talk regarding an application, which allows you to find less expensive sessions around you! Ozzak that’s its name, is from Nantes and was launched last year in Nantes, in Bressuire, and since July 20 (2022) in Guérande. Sylvain Mante, co-founder of the Ozzak app, explained how the app works to Nolwenn Even.
How it works ?
“It is a platform that is available on stores on smartphones, Iphone and Android, and also on the web via the website www.ozzak.fr The operation is very simple: once you are on Ozzak, you just have to indicate your location, it can be your address or the city in which you are located, and automatically Ozzak will propel you to all the screenings offered by the partner cinemas around you. You will be able to view the sessions, the number of places available per session as well as the privilege price… and once you have found the session you are interested in, simply book on Ozzak and present the QR Code received by email. straight to the movies.”

A development in the west
The cinemas estimate the filling of the rooms in the year around 20-25%. The shortfall is in fact significant, so have the first effects of the application been felt for cinemas already registered or partners? According to Sylvain Mante, “it’s a bit early to tell since the device has been launched for ten months now. In the Nantes region and in Bressuire, around 2,000 places have been sold since the launch. This is a figure that is changing day by day, we are satisfied and hope that in the coming months Ozzak will have a real impact on attendance and the filling of cinemas.”
In the West, the development will be more on the Brittany side with a deployment in Rennes at the start of the school year in September, and the objective is also to arrive in Paris and the Paris region.

The platform offers preferential rates between -30 and 50% instead. The objective for Sylvain Mante is not to sell off the seventh art, but to relaunch ticket sales because the initial idea, as he tells Nolwenn Even, came with his two partners, Cédric and Mélanie, all left to discover the latest Marvel at the cinema on a Saturday evening.
“We found ourselves in an almost empty room. At that time, we went from a super affordable price (student) to a slightly higher price (for young professionals), without having enormous purchasing power, that slowed us down in our cinema outings. We always wanted to go there regularly but we were faced with almost empty cinemas and we therefore looked for a solution, which would help the general public to go more regularly and more spontaneously to the cinema, while helping exhibitors to improve the filling of cinemas.”

On this day of cinema releases, ideal outing in hot weather, note the arrival on the big screen of the thriller (film between humor and violence) “Bullet Train“, with Brad Pitt, who plays an unlucky assassin, and French comedy “year of the shark” with Marina Foïs and Kad Merad.
Finally tomorrow evening (Thursday August 5), the film “Top Gun Maverick” will be screened at the Guingamp public garden (10:30 p.m.). Tickets can be booked now at the cinema, Les Korrigans. Price of 6 euros for adults and 5 euros for children under 14 years old.
