“I need €10,000 a month”: Véronique Genest explains why she is still “forced to work”

Best known in recent years for her violent outbursts on social media regarding the vaccine, Ukraine or the health crisis that for her career as an actress, Véronique Genest is once once more being talked regarding.

On the occasion of the festival Corsica on stage, Véronique Genest confided in Here Paris. “Last year I was in a play that ended in October, we didn’t have a job during the Covid. One day, jI heard on the news that the Ministry of Culture allows outdoor and seated theater and subsidizes festivals.” The 66-year-old actress would also need a lot of money to maintain her lifestyle and that of her loved ones.I’m lucky, I have goods, savings, but they will not be eternalshe reveals. I had to take care of my mother – the retirement home cost between 5,000 and 6,000 euros per month – as well as my husband’s ex-wife. I have to earn my living, I have to work. I need 10,000 euros per month, to hold on and help those around me”.
