Tanjazz back for a 21st edition

It is a rejuvenated Tanjazz but also faithful to its achievements which is announced next September. The ambition for the new organizers is to offer a festival experience faithful to the DNA of this event, which laid the foundations of a true jazz culture in Morocco. This has been developing for two decades in a promise of openness and discovery that the new organizing team intends to extend, while opening it up to new audiences.

The many Tanjazz aficionados will once once more find the emblematic Palace of Italian Institutions, the beating heart of the festival, with its various stages, gardens and catering areas.

The new format of Tanjazz will thus offer three days of celebration with more than 20 concerts within the Palace (paying access), but also concerts and many free events, which the public will discover through various circuits in the city.

Swing, Blues, Rock, Soul, World Music and Electro Jazz, this year’s program will be particularly attractive. The Line-up will illustrate the ambitions and the commitment of the festival to offer to the public; Faithful Tangiers; festival-goers from Casablanca, Rabat and all of Morocco, but also the many foreigners regulars at Tanjazz; a magnificent recovery following two years of deprivation.

The 21st edition of Tanjazz is marked by the change of direction and the new visual identity. Supported by the BMCI Foundation, the festival is now organized by the agency Seven PM (executive producer of Jazzablanca Festival), and this since the handover, which took place in 2019, during the 20th edition, between the founder Philippe Lorin and the producer of Jazzablanca.
