Riyadh: Reduction in money sent by foreigners from Saudi Arabia. There has been a decrease in the amount of remittances sent by foreign residents including those working in the country to their own countries. This is the figure for last June. In the first six months of this year, a total of 1321 crore Rials were sent. The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) reveals that this is two percent less compared to the same period last year.
But if we look at the monthly figures for this year, the highest rate was recorded in June. The amount of money that went out of the country in June is 17 percent higher than in May.
Foreigners sent 193 crore Rials during this single month. At the same time, the foreign exchange of Saudi citizens has increased by five percent. Till June, they sent 675 crore riyals abroad for various reasons.
