The Food Bonus 2022 is economic aid for those citizens in a vulnerable situation in Peru and that will serve those who have been affected by the increase in the prices of the basic consumer basket due to the various problems that affect the nation and the world, as were the COVID-19 pandemic and the war will start soon, according to the country’s Ministry of Economy and Finance.
That is why it is important to know details of this subsidy, such as what it is, from when it will be delivered, who can receive it and how much money the 2022 Food Bonus consists of. In this note we explain it to you.
FROM WHEN WILL THE 2022 FOOD BONUS BE DELIVERED
The norm states that, within a period of 30 calendar days, the Council of Ministers must approve regulatory provisions that establish the eligibility criteria of the potential beneficiaries, the guidelines for the preparation of the registry of citizens of said subsidy, the procedure for approval of citizen registers, among other aspects, that allow the granting of individual economic support on the updated basis of the national registry.
HOW THE 2022 FOOD BONUS WILL BE DELIVERED
The Ministry of Development and Social Inclusion (Midis), through the National Solidarity Assistance Program (Pensión 65), will be in charge of granting the individual monetary subsidy.
In accordance with the norm, the incorporation of resources via supplementary credit is authorized in the budget of the Public sector for Fiscal Year 2022, up to S/ 1,698 million in favor of the contingency reserve of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, to finance the granting of the individual monetary subsidy.
In the case of Pension 65 and With You, the law specifies that the subsidy will be S/ 200, S/ 250 and S/ 300, respectively; that is, according to the value of the economic benefit they receive bimonthly.
For this, the incorporation of resources via supplementary credit is authorized in the public sector budget for Fiscal Year 2022 for the sum of S/ 301.4 million to Midis.
WHAT WILL BE THE AMOUNT OF THE 2022 FOOD BONUS
The Government made official that the amount of the Food Bonus, to mitigate the rise in prices of the basic basket, will be S / 270 per person of legal age, and will be delivered exceptionally to citizens in a situation of economic vulnerability, according to the National Registry for COVID-19 measures.
