Taipei: After US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan, China warned by deploying fighter jets. International media reports that more than 20 Chinese warplanes crossed Taiwan’s air defense zone and caused a stir.

Taiwan has issued an urgent order to its own troops to be on combat alert. The US has also signaled a counterattack by deploying four warships in the region along the border.

Chinese foreign spokesperson Hua Chunying tweeted that the US is the biggest challenge to world peace. The US has made 1.4 billion Chinese citizens enemies. The Chinese spokesman warned that this move by the US to challenge China will not end well.

China’s position is that the arrival of the American representative in Taiwan is unacceptable. Pelosi landed in Taiwan on Tuesday night and will hold talks with the president on Wednesday. It is the first time a senior US leader has visited Taiwan in a quarter century.

China believes that the American speaker’s visit to Taiwan will strengthen the country’s independence. USS Ronald Reagan, USS Antietam, USS Higgins and USS are stationed in the South China Sea near the border with Taiwan. According to reports, Chinese ships are also ready once morest them.

China has threatened that Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan is playing with fire and will not stand by. Meanwhile, there are indications that armored vehicles are moving in the Chinese city of Xiamen, which borders Taiwan.
